Lacazette, 25, has been the subject of prolonged interest from the London club but are thought to face competition from West Ham and Atletico Madrid for the France international’s signature, with West Ham having reportedly having a £40 million bid turned down for the forward.
The French club took to social media to announce that they had turned down a bid for the forward from Arsenal
"Olympique Lyonnais denies having received a €48m (£40m) offer from Arsenal for the transfer of Alexandre Lacazette as Le Progrès stated in its issue this morning," read the tweet.
"The club regrets once again that the publication has not bothered to contact them before publishing the false information which creates confusion on the day we publish annual turnover of £183m, up 111% compared to 2014/2015.
"Arsenal made an offer of €35m (£30m) which the club did not respond to because Olympique Lyonnais want to keep Alexandre Lacazette. He is irreplaceable and one of the major leaders of Bruno Genesio's group."
Arsenal, who have already signed Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding this window, are known to be in the market for a striker, with Arsene Wenger previously stating that the club expect to be very active this summer.
