Nani ‘set for Fenerbahce medical’

The Portugal winger is expected to undergo a medical on Sunday ahead of a proposed move to Turkey.

"Fenerbahce Club Football Department has begun the negotiations with Luis Nani and Manchester United for the transfer,” read a statement on the club’s website.

"Nani will come to Istanbul on 5 July and will undergo medical examinations. The negotiations will continue in Istanbul."

The 28-year-old spent last season on at Sporting Lisbon and scored 12 goals in 35 appearances, but is still seen as surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Last season he was sent out on loan to Sporting Lisbon - the club who sold him to United originally - where he scored 11 goals in an impressive stint.
