Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is unlikely to be offered the Chelsea job because Blues owner Roman Abramovich is not a fan of the Argentine's playing style, according to a report.

The Daily Mail claims that Simeone is not a frontrunner for the post at the Premier League champions, with Abramovich concerned that Simeone's team play in too prosaic a fashion for his tastes.
Although almost silent to the media, it has long been believed that Abramovich wants his Chelsea side to play an attractive style of play on the pitch - although he was willing to amend that desire when re-appointing Jose Mourinho to the job in 2013, in order to guarantee Chelsea returned to winning ways.
The Blues went on to claim the Premier League and Capital One Cup in 2015, although things soon went sour for the Portuguese as he was dismissed in December.
Simeone is considered by many to be one of the standout candidates to be the next permanent boss at Stamford Bridge, but it seems that the disciplined, structured nature of his Atletico side will play against him in the eyes of Abramovich - despite his undoubted achievements at the Vicente Calderon.
"[Atletico's] workmanlike style is too similar to some of the miserable football served up by Mourinho’s Chelsea when they won the Premier League title for the fourth time last season," Neil Ashton reported, adding that Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri and Italy coach Antonio Conte remain strong contenders.
