The now-traditional weekend-extending game and all the subsequent post- and pre-match analysis will extend the buzz of opening weekend, especially with a title-contending side like City involved. Much like their rivals, they'll want to get off to the best possible start by winning the first match, and will be wary of a trip to West Brom so soon after what was a very disappointing campaign on the road for City last time out.
