WHEN IS THE MATCH?
Monday 10th August - 20:00 kick-off (UK time).
WHERE IS THE MATCH BEING PLAYED?
It's at the Hawthorns, home of West Bromwich Albion. - Here's all the stadium information you need.
WHY IS IT WORTH FOLLOWING?
Well, who can resist the return of Monday Night Football? The now-traditional weekend-extending game and all the subsequent post- and pre-match analysis will extend the buzz of opening weekend, especially with a title-contending side like City involved. Much like their rivals, they'll want to get off to the best possible start by winning the first match, and will be wary of a trip to West Brom so soon after what was a very disappointing campaign on the road for City last time out.
It is also, of course, the beginning of Raheem Sterling's Man City career. All eyes will be on the former Liverpool winger in this one. And it will also be worth keeping an eye out for his fellow City summer arrivals Fabian Delph and Patrick Roberts, while Rickie Lambert, James McClean and James Chester could all make their competitive bows for the Baggies.
CAN I WATCH IT ON TV?
Yes - it will be shown live on Sky Sports, with coverage beginning at 19:00 - a full hour before kick-off. Further details can be found here.
International viewers can see their viewing options here.
