Romelu Lukaku set to sign new five-year deal at Everton - reports

Romelu Lukaku is ready to sign a five-year contract worth £140,000 per week with Everton, according to reports.

The 23-year-old Belgium striker has scored 18 goals this season, one behind Tottenham's Harry Kane as the Premier League's top marksman.

Lukaku's previous contract was due to expire in 2019, but he is apparently set to extend his stay at Goodison Park until 2022 with various sources, including the Liverpool Echo, suggesting the deal could be announced by Everton on Wednesday.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman will be happy to get the Lukaku deal over the line especially with the player linked with a £50m return to Chelsea during the summer.

In 130 league games for the club, he has scored 61 goals.
