Chris Hughton wants Brighton to sign off for international break on a high

The Seagulls have lost just one of their last five Premier League fixtures, and head to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea on Saturday 12th in the table.

Hughton's side began their first campaign back in England's top flight in more than three decades with back-to-back defeats.

But they have proved hard to beat since, with a narrow defeat against south-coast neighbours Bournemouth and a 2-0 loss at Arsenal, the only other matches in which they have failed to pick up points this season.

"It's a nice feeling going three games unbeaten and what happens during that period is that there tends to be a nice feeling around the camp," Hughton said.

"It doesn't change in football. When you're on the back of a win it's always a better week, and the more good weeks you have, it means you're doing okay.

"But it can change, and the moment anybody here feels like we've cracked it then in this division you can lose four or five games on the spin quite easily, because of the levels.

"We have to keep fighting for every result. At the moment there's a good feel in the team and club, but the only way that remains is by getting good results."

In contrast, Brighton's opponents Swansea, have tasted four defeats from their last five matches, and only goal difference keeps them out of the relegation places.

But ahead of the first league meeting between the two sides in nine years - the last was when they were both in the third tier of English football - Hughton insists the Swans will be a hard nut to crack.

"Irrespective of form, the first thing you look at is the team and the quality they've got in the side," Hughton added.

"One thing about their manager Paul Clement is that he's prepared to change systems and individuals.

"It's not a game where you have a very good idea of what the formation will be, because he's certainly open to change that.

"With Andre Ayew up front, they've certainly got a goal threat in the attacking options, but what formation they'll play, at this moment, I don't know."

Hughton has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Wales with midfielder Beram Kayal, who has been out of action since breaking his leg in a pre-season friendly in August, and striker Sam Baldock, who underwent calf surgery in the summer, in contention to make their first-team returns.
