Semi-professional footballer sacked for having sex in rival club's dugout

A semi-professional footballer has been sacked by his club after being caught having sex with a female supporter in the dugout of an away ground.

Clitheroe striker Jay Hart’s ill-advised antics were captured on film, with the 24-year-old’s tracksuit bottoms seen hanging around his ankles.
His team had earlier been beaten 4-1 by Mossley AFC, who play at Seel Park in Tameside, in Evo-Stik Division 1 North – a match billed as a ‘ladies day’ to encourage more female fans to attend.
The footage was quickly shared amongst players and fans, with the club acting quickly to sack him.
“I’m full of regret,” said Hart. “I’d had a couple of drinks. I was away from everyone and thought I was hidden.”
But club chairman Anne Barker said he had brought the club into disrepute.
“I can't have somebody wearing the Clitheroe FC tracksuit bringing us down,” she said.
“We expect a certain level of behaviour and discipline. And that wasn’t it.”
