Anderlecht defender Anthony Vanden Borre is on the brink of completing a deal with Fiorentina according to his agent.
The young Belgian has been linked with a host of top European clubs and already has 15 caps for his country despite being just 19.
Now he looks set to continue his development in Serie A as his agent Antonio Stina told Radio Fiesole.
"There is an agreement between the player and the Viola and there is also one between the two clubs," he said.
“As a result, Vanden Borre isn't being used by the Belgian side currently because Anderlecht are trying out a few things without him in view of the future.
“When will he sign a contract with Fiorentina? Possibly even before June.”
Vanden Borre is expected to sign a three year deal with the transfer fee to be in the region of 3 millions euros (£2.1 million).
Fiorentina were also said to be interested in Anderlecht's Argentine striker Nicolas Frutos, but he has instead decided to stay in Belgium.
"I'm very happy, and at the moment I don't like the idea of playing in a larger competition, only Anderlecht count," he said.
