It ended 1-1 in Doha after 90 minutes with Giorgio Chiellini volleying Juve into an 18th-minute lead before Giacomo Bonaventura headed Milan level seven minutes before the break. The score was still tied after 120 minutes, before Donnarumma’s save on Paulo Dybala in the shoot-out proved decisive.
“I cannot describe what I’m feeling and I don’t even know what was going through my head!” the 17-year-old goalkeeper told Rai Sport.
“We knew that we had to give it our all, we played on level terms with Juventus. The coach gave us something extra. We try to do everything he asks.
