St Mirren caretaker manager Gary Teale heaped praise on his players after they moved off the foot of the Scottish Premiership table with their first win since he took temporary charge at Love Street.

The Saints claimed a deserved 3-1 win over 10-man Dundee at Dens Park thanks to a double from man-of-the-match Kenny McLean either side of a goal from teenager Stephen Mallan.
Teale said: "I thought the boys were excellent. They've been like that ever since I've came into the job to be fair.
"Hopefully all their hard work is now starting to pay off. Even in training they give their all.
"The pleasing thing is the hard work which I want to keep continuing.
"We rode our luck early on but the more the game went on the more we grew and we deserved our win.
"I don't think anyone could begrudge us our win to be fair. This is always a hard place to come to so it's a very good result."
"The goals were excellent and all credit to Kenny McLean and Stephen Mallan for taking them the way they did."
McLean struck after 28 minutes and Mallan added another in the 68th minute to put the visitors on the road to a surprise win.
And McLean rounded things off with a 78th-minute penalty which saw Dundee defender Paul McGinn red-carded and meant Saints leapfrogged fellow strugglers Ross County, despite Gary Irvine hitting a late consolation for the home team six minutes from time.
Dundee manager Paul Hartley made no excuses for his side's sorry home loss at Dens Park.
He said: "I thought it was a really poor performance. We just didn't perform like the way I know we can. I thought we were off it today as a team.
"It's always hard to put your finger on it because we had prepared well and trained well all week.
"The first five minutes were okay but after that it just wasn't good enough. And when we got the man sent-off near the end we were really chasing it.
"We've got to get back in on Monday and start the hard work again. We've got a massive game ahead of us on Thursday against Dundee United.
"We have to be much better than we were here."
