Fulham have rejected a £25million bid for highly-rated Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The transfer attempt comes just days after Spurs left-back Danny Rose caused controversy with comments that he would accept a move away from Spurs in search of more money and trophies.
Fulham are apparently seeking up to £50m for the teenager. Under American billionaire Shahid Khan, Fulham are keen to gain promotion back to the Premier League after losing to Reading in the Championship play-off semi-finals last season.
Spurs are believed to have made a substantial bid for 17-year-old starlet Sessegnon with a fee that would rival the £25.5m Manchester United paid to sign Wayne Rooney, then 18, from Everton in 2004, the record for a fee involving an English teenager.

The much sought-after full-back Sessegnon excelled in his debut season for Fulham last year, making the Championship Team of the Year and scoring seven goals in all competitions.
The youngster then went on to excel in the European U19 Championships, finishing the tournament as joint top-scorer from full-back (with three goals) and helping England lift the title.
Sessegnon, who only turned 17 in May, was expected to stay at Fulham after signing his first professional contract in June. But Spurs’ bid will test the resolve of the Championship club.

“I am reaching my peak and have probably only got one big contract left in me,” Rose said in his poorly-timed interview. “Time is running out and I do want to win trophies. I don’t want to play football for 15 years and not have one trophy or one medal.
“I will say this too — I will play up north. I don’t know exactly when, but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere.
“One thing is for sure — I know my worth and I will make sure I get what I am worth. I am not playing as well as I have done not to get paid what I think I am worth.”
Rose has subsequently been fined two weeks’ wages by Tottenham, with the club insisting that their 27-year-old left-back is not for sale.
