Barcelona target Ajax keeper as Bravo set for Man City

Barcelona have bid £10million for Ajax keeper Jasper Cillessen, according to the Daily Mail. The development comes as current Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo has reportedly told team-mates he's off to Manchester City, as there are reports that Barcelona and City have come to an agreement for that move. Cillessen's move will likely trigger Bravo's transfer and then Joe Hart's move from City to another club.

Paper Round's view: One of the clubs waiting eagerly for Ajax to green-light to the Barcelona bid, is Everton. Everton could get Hart on a loan if the dominos fall the way they expect them to do, with a shot-stopper of his quality potentially being the difference between them making Europe and missing out again.

Chelsea ready to bid £60 million for Koulibaly

Chelsea are prepared to bid £60 million for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, according to The Telegraph. The report says that despite inferences Napoli would settle for £48 million payment, Chelsea are willing to pay £15 million higher than that to accelerate the deal and to get the player into the club before the end of the window.
Paper Round's view: Despite the figure being largely ludicrous for a defender, it's Chelsea's serious weak point and it will damage any hopes of their title ambitions if left untreated. Koulibaly and another full back, will go a long way to cementing enough depth for the club to work their way into Champions League contention at the very least.

Juventus target Christian Eriksen

Juventus are after Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, according to the Daily Mail. The report says that Eriksen has been a target for the Serie A giants, as the Dane is set to come out of contract in 2018 and is currently negotiating a new deal. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has publicly expressed confidence that the 24-year-old will re-sign and insists that the club will doing everything to make that happen.

Paper Round's view: For ambitious clubs like Tottenham who want to become a Champions League regulars, crunch-time is now. A slip up this season could see players who still have time to exit their contracts start to wander elsewhere, and while Eriksen seems happy at the club, a regression this year could be disastrous.

Ricardo Rodriguez on Chelsea's wishlist

Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez is on Chelsea's watchlist, according to the Sun. Reports say the Swiss international is hoping to leave Germany, with Chelsea leading the race to sign the 23-year-old. It comes after the player's buyout clause of £21.5million expired in July. Chelsea also have other full-backs on their radar, such as Faouzi Ghoulam of Napoli and Cologne's Jonas Hector.

Paper Round's view: Competition at full back is needed for Conte's squad, with both Nathan Ake and Baba Rahman on loan elsewhere. Rodriguez has impressed in his time at Wolfsburg by holding down his spot at left-back and being known for his strong dead-ball and penalty taking abilities.
