England won the U19 European Championships, U20 World Cup and reached the semi-finals of the U21 European Championships over the summer and the U17s are bidding to build on that success with a strong squad.
Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi opened the scoring within five minutes after exchanging passes with Sancho.
The Dortmund forward then made it two following a great run from Rhian Brewster and then curled in a second after good work from George McEachran.
Angel Gomes, who many had expected to start, came off the bench in the second-half and took the captain’s armband.
He added the fourth with a fantastic free-kick although it was against an outfielder after Chile had a goalkeeper sent off.
England will face Mexico on Wednesday and then Iraq next Saturday.
