Trump beat Hilary Clinton on Tuesday to become president-elect, but his surprise victory has left the country divided.
Masar, who was born in Illinois, has been playing her football in Sweden for the last 12 months and is not planning on returning to her homeland as long as Trump is in the White House.
"I went to see Therese [Sjogran, sporting director of FC Rosengard] and asked to sign on for another four years at the club as I did not want to go back to the US with Donald Trump as president," she said.
"I've actually met him once. We had to go there for an Easter dinner and I thought then that he was a scary man."
The 30-year-old will remain in Scandanavia until at least 2020 in a bid to miss Trump's elected term length, but revealed that she also holds a Canadian passport should she want to head back across the Atlantic.
Trump will take over from Barack Obama in January as the 45th President of the USA.
