Sauber is now the seventh team to declare it has been given the green light by the FIA with regard to its chassis, joining Haas, Renault, Manor, Ferrari, Force India and Toro Rosso.
Via a tweet, the team declared: "YAY! The #SauberC35did it! Nose & chassis passed the static & dynamic crash tests!"
For Sauber, the move is a significant one bearing in mind the C35 is not due to hit the track until March 1 at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya.
The Swiss team will still attend the first test in Barcelona that runs from February 22-25, albeit with a modified version of last year's C34.
It is understood the adjustment late last year to this season's calendar forced Sauber's hand with regard to the introduction of its new car.
