Seven of the Icelandic left winger's goals came early on as he helped steady the ship during an uneasy opening for the hosts at the Palau Blaugrana.
Barca fell behind 4-2 but seven goals from seven attempts from Sigurdsson inside the first 18 minutes put them into the lead and back on track for victory.
Sigurdsson was benched soon after and only added one more to his personal tally but Barca did not look back from his early blitz and eventually ran out comfortable winners.
They next meet fellow table toppers Kolding København - both sides have six points from three matches.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain maintained their supremacy in Group A, registering a 35-25 win over Naturhouse La Rioja in the French capital. HC Prvo plinarsko drustvo kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 19-17 victory over Metalurg and sit third, level on four points with THW Kiel.
In Group C, both HC Vardar and MKB-MVM Veszprem remain unbeaten after a third victory each this week.
Vardar downed Rhein-Neckar Lowen 28-25 while Veszprem edged Montpellier 30-29. Vardar sit atop the group thanks to their better goal difference (+15 to Veszprem's +9).
And in Group D, KS Vive Tauron Kielce registered their third win of the campaign, a 30-26 victory over HC Motor Zaporozhye, to continue to set the pace. The Polish club sit alone atop their pool with six points from a possible six, two ahead of next-best MOL-Pick Szeged, who beat Aalborg Handball in the Danes' own back yard 28-25.
