Penguins 2, Maple Leafs 1

Pascal Dupuis scored two goals to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dupuis scored late in the second period and in the opening seconds of the third as the Penguins (11-3-1) concluded a five-game road trip on a winning note and halted Toronto's three-game winning streak.

Thomas Greiss stopped 30 shots in his third game in the Pittsburgh net this season.

Devils 1, Capitals 0

A major blunder by Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby helped the New Jersey Devils beat the Washington Capitals.

Holtby made 27 saves but his only mistake of the night was a costly one. He roamed behind his net to stop the puck and then fired it up the boards, where Devils winger Mike Cammalleri picked off the pass and fired the puck into an open net for his team-high seventh goal of the season.

Islanders 4, Panthers 3 (shootout)

The New York Islanders matched a franchise record of winning 11 of the first 16 games of the season when they beat the Florida Panthers in a shootout.

Jaroslav Halak had 35 saves in goal for the Islanders, though his shutout streak ended at 156 minutes.

Red Wings 4, Blackhawks 1

Luke Glendening registered a goal and an assist as the Detroit Red Wings extended their home points streak to seven games (5-0-2) in a win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jimmy Howard turned aside 25 shots for Detroit, who have not lost in regulation at home since Oct. 11 against Anaheim.

Patrick Kane scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks, who had their 12-game points streak versus the Red Wings halted.

Blue Jackets 4, Flyers 3

Columbus defenseman James Wisniewski scored two power-play goals as the Blue Jackets beat the Philadelphia Flyers to snap a nine-game winless streak.

Nick Foligno also had two goals and an assist for the Blue Jackets (5-10-1), who were 0-8-1 in their previous nine games.
