Jay Beagle and Andre Burakovsky also scored for Washington (35-11-6), which got 19 saves from Braden Holtby.
Kings 1, Flyers 0 (overtime)
Jeff Carter scored the winner in overtime against his former team as the Los Angeles Kings continued their hot streak with a 1-0 result over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Los Angeles goaltender Peter Budaj turned aside all 17 shots he faced to record his seventh shutout of the season and his third during a five-game win streak in which he has allowed just three goals.
Avalanche 5, Jets 2
Matt Nieto scored twice, Jarome Iginla had a goal and an assist, and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 for a rare home win.
Nathan MacKinnon and Carl Soderberg also scored as the Avalanche snapped a nine-game winless streak and won for second time in 17 home games.
Penguins 4, Blues 1
Sidney Crosby scored two goals and assisted on another Saturday night to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins past the St. Louis Blues 4-1 for their third straight victory.
Crosby, who did not record a point against Columbus on Friday, has not gone two consecutive games without a point since Feb. 24-27 of last year. He scored at least one point in 35 of the 45 games he played this season.
Crosby's second goal of the game, his league-leading 30th of the season, came into an empty net with 18 seconds to play.
Maple Leafs 6, Bruins 5
Rookie William Nylander had three goals for his first career hat trick and James van Riemsdyk scored with 1:36 remaining as Toronto snapped a three-game losing streak.
The young Maple Leafs blew leads of 4-1 and 5-4 before van Riemsdyk beat Boston backup goaltender Zane McIntrye only 1:18 after Patrice Bergeron tied the score with a power-play goal. Van Riemsdyk untied it with his 19th of the season.
The win was the third in as many tries for Toronto over the Bruins this season. The Maple Leafs scored 14 goals in the three games. Goaltender Frederik Andersen was the winner in all three and is 7-0 lifetime against Boston.
Wild 6, Canucks 3
Mikael Granlund scored his first career hat and added an assist as Minnesota defeated Vancouver.
Granlund extended his franchise-high points streak to 12 games (five goals, 12 assists). It's the longest points streak in the NHL this season. He's also set career highs with 15 goals and 48 points.

Blackhawks 5, Stars 3
Trevor van Riemsdyk scored the game-winning goal with 4:03 remaining and Corey Crawford stopped 31 shots as Chicago improved to 4-0-0 versus Dallas this season.
Ryan Hartman, Gustav Frosling, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews also scored for Chicago, which also got two assists from Artem Anisimov.
Dallas (21-22-10) got goals from Radek Faksa, Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. The Stars finished their season-long six-game homestand at 2-2-2. Dallas fell to 0-18-2 when trailing after two periods.

Red Wings 1, Predators 0
Mike Green's goal and Petr Mrazek's 42 saves carried Detroit past Nashville.
Green scored his 10th goal of the season on a wrister from the high slot at 18:30 of the first period that found its way through traffic at the goalmouth and appeared to tick off Pekka Rinne's catching glove before finding the net.
The Red Wings won their second straight game after losing five in a row and swept the season series from the Predators for the third straight season. The result snapped Nashville's six-game point streak at home dating to Jan. 3.
