Rangers 7, Ducks 2
The New York Rangers went to the top of the overall NHL standings when they thumped the Anaheim Ducks 7-2.
Defenseman Keith Yandle and center Derek Stepan each recorded three points for the Rangers (46-18-7), whose seven-goal outburst was a season high.
Right winger Corey Perry scored twice for the Ducks (46-21-7).

Lightning 5, Bruins 3
The Tampa Bay Lightning beat Boston 5-3 for their first victory against the Bruins since 2012.
Lightning center Steven Stamkos received a five-minute major penalty after trading blows with Brad Marchand during the first period. Within a minute without their star, Tampa Bay scored twice, just 15 seconds apart.

Red Wings 2, Blues 1 (OT)
Left winger Justin Abdelkader's power-play goal 24 seconds onto overtime gave the Detroit Red Wings a 2-1 win against the St. Louis Blues.
It was a welcome win for Red Wings, third in the Atlantic Division, helping them stay clear of division rivals Boston and Ottawa in the playoff race.

Canucks 3, Coyotes 1
A lucky go-ahead goal from defenseman Alex Edler with 3:13 remaining in regulation lifted the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-1 road win over the Arizona Coyotes.
Center Henrik Sedin added an empty-netter as the Canucks boosted their playoff hopes and condemned the Coyotes to their 18th loss in 19 games. (Compiled by Andrew Both; Editing by Ian Ransom)
