Kings 9, Bruins 2
Milan Lucic scored a goal and an assist in his first return to Boston as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Bruins 9-2 Tuesday night at TD Garden.
Lucic, who was traded June 26 after nine seasons in Boston, picked up an assist during the Kings' four-goal second period and added one of his own early in the third to make for a very happy return.
Jonathan Quick made 35 saves for the Kings, while Tuukka Rask and Jonas Gustavsson combined for 48 in the Bruin net.
Jeff Carter, Marian Gaborik, Andy Andreoff, Drew Doughty, Dwight King, Trevor Lewis, Luke Schenn and Dustin Brown also scored for the Kings.
Brad Marchand and Tyler Randell scored for the Bruins.
Panthers 7, Sabres 4
Reilly Smith had two goals and an assist, and six Florida players scored in a victory over Buffalo.
Brian Campbell, Jussi Jokinen, Alex Petrovic, Brandon Pirri and Jaromir Jagr also scored for the Panthers, while Roberto Luongo made 30 saves.
Sam Reinhart scored twice for the Sabres and Evander Kane and Mike Weber also scored. Chad Johnson made 20 saves and allowed two goals after replacing Robin Lehner early in the second period.
Ducks 4, Flyers 1
Rickard Rakell scored two first-period goals and Anaheim jumped on Philadelphia.
Frederik Andersen made 28 saves for his fourth win in as many games against the Flyers while Steve Mason, making his fifth start in eight days, stopped 22 shots.
Chris Stewart and Andrew Cogliano also scored for the Ducks. Wayne Simmonds for the Flyers.
Islanders 3, Blue Jackets 2 (SO)
Cal Clutterbuck scored in the fourth round of a shootout to lead the New York Islanders over Columbus in Nationwide Arena.
Jaroslav Halak finished with 29 saves for the Islanders while John Tavares and Anders Lee scored in regulation.
Cam Atkinson and Brandon Dubinsky each scored and had assists for the Blue Jackets, while rookie Joonas Korpisalo finished with 44 saves.
Canadiens 4, Lightning 2
Tomas Plekanec scored twice to lift Montreal over Tampa Bay at the Bell Centre.
Brendan Gallagher and Devante Smith-Pelly also scored for the Canadiens, who won three in a row for the first time since Nov. 22-27.
Valteri Filppula and Victor Hedman scored for the Lightning.
Devils 2, Oilers 1
Reid Boucher's tie-breaking power-play goal 7:13 into the third period powered New Jersey over Edmonton at the Prudential Center.
Adam Henrique also scored and added an assist for the Devils, who snapped a three game winless streak. Cory Schneider made 18 saves.
Cam Talbot stopped 24 of 26 shots, and Jordan Eberle scored for the Oilers.
Capitals 5, Predators 3
Justin Williams and Marcus Johansson scored just over three minutes apart to give Washington a win at Nashville.
Alex Ovechkin, Jason Chimera and Tom Wilson also scored for the Capitals.
Filip Forsberg scored twice and Roman Josi once for the Predators.
Jets 2, Blues 1 (SO)
Mark Scheifele scored in the fourth round of the shootout to give Winnipeg a win over St. Louis.
Bryan Little scored the regulation goal for the Jets, while Colton Parayko scored for the Blues.
Sharks 2, Blackhawks 0
Martin Jones stopped all 33 shots he faced, leading San Jose over Chicago.
Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton each scored for the Sharks.
The loss ended a seven-game winning streak on home ice for the Blackhawks.
Canucks 3, Avalanche 1
Bo Horvat had a goal and an assist, Jacob Markstrom had 29 saves and added an assist, and Vancouver beat Colorado.
Matt Bartkowski and Sven Baertschi also had goals for the Canucks, who snapped a four-game winless streak.
Francois Beauchemin scored and Semyon Varlamov had 25 saves for the Avalanche.
Flames 4, Maple Leafs 3
Markus Granlund and Dougie Hamilton had a goal and an assist each to lead Calgary over Toronto.
Mikael Backlund and Micheal Ferland also scored for the Flames.
Peter Holland, Josh Leivo and Jake Gardiner scored for the Leafs, while James Reimer finished with 18 saves. Frank Corrado chipped in with two assists.
Stars 4, Wild 3 (OT)
John Klingberg scored in overtime as Dallas won for the fourth time in five games, beating Minnesota.
Alex Goligoski, Jason Demers and Patrick Eaves also scored for the Stars and Kari Lehtonen, starting for the first time since Jan. 19, had 37 saves in the win.
Erik Haula, Justin Fontaine and Mikko Koivu scored for the Wild and Darcy Kuemper had 26 saves in the loss.
