June 27 (The Sports Xchange) - The Edmonton Oilers acquired goaltender Cam Talbot and a seventh-round selection in the 2015 NHL Draft from the New York Rangers on Saturday.

The Rangers received a second-round pick (57th overall), a third-round pick (79th overall) and a seventh-round pick (184th overall) in this year's draft.
Talbot, 27, appeared in 36 games last season with the Rangers, posting a 21-9-4 record, 2.21 goals-against average, .926 save percentage and five shutouts.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Talbot has appeared in 57 career NHL games with the Rangers, registering a record of 33-15-5, 2.00 goals-against average, .931 save percentage and eight shutouts.

The New York Islanders made history by choosing Andong Song as the first Chinese-born player to be selected in the NHL draft. Song was selected Saturday in the sixth round (No. 172).
The 6-foot, 161-pound defenseman, who plays at the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey, had three goals and seven assists in 26 games this season.
The 18-year-old Song, who goes by the name "Misha," started playing hockey on a smaller-than-normal rink in Beijing when his mother was trying to find him a sport. He left China at age 10 to move to Ontario, hoping to play professional hockey one day.

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired forward Ryan Haggerty from the Rangers in exchange for goaltender Antti Raanta.
Haggerty, 22, totaled 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in his first professional season with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League last season.

The Anaheim Ducks acquired goaltender Anton Khudobin from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman James Wisniewski.
Khudobin, 29, has appeared in 91 career NHL games with Minnesota (2009-11), Boston (2011-13) and Carolina (2013-15).

The Rangers acquired left winger Emerson Etem and the No. 41 selection in the 2015 draft from the Ducks in exchange for left winger Carl Hagelin and the 59th and 179th picks.
Etem and Hagelin can become restricted free agents on July 1.

The Dallas Stars acquired the rights to pending unrestricted free agent goaltender Antti Niemi from the San Jose Sharks for the No. 193 pick in the 2015 draft.
Niemi, 31, went 31-23-7 with a .914 save percentage and 2.59 goals-against average in 2014-15 for the Sharks.
If the Stars do not sign Niemi, he will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

The San Jose Sharks acquired defenseman Patrick McNally from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2015 seventh-round draft selection.
McNally, 23, was originally selected by Vancouver in the fourth round of the 2010 draft. He has played collegiately at Harvard University for the past four seasons, where he totaled 60 points (14 goals, 46 assists) in 82 NCAA games.
