The Blackhawks confirmed Wednesday that Kane, who is facing rape allegations in New York, is scheduled to be with the team Friday morning when the three-day camp opens at Notre Dame's Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Ind.
However, Kane's agent, Pat Brisson, did not confirm that his client would show up and said more details would be coming Thursday. Kane remains under investigation for an alleged sexual assault at his home in Hamburg, N.Y., near Buffalo.
The 26-year-old Kane has not been charged in the case. The Erie County district attorney's office delayed grand jury proceedings last week.
