Japan's Sara Takanashi was delighted to overcome testing conditions to win the Ski Jumping World Cup in Oberstdorf.
Takanashi scored 271.2 points after jumps of 102.5m and 97m to finish comfortably clear of Austria’s Daniela Iraschko-Stolz and Maren Lundby of Norway for his seventh win in a row.
The 19-year-old said: “It was really raining a lot, but it was a good weekend overall.
“I am really thankful to everyone who supports me.”
Iraschko-Stolz recorded two identical leaps of 98m to claim 257.6 points, while Lundby’s second jump of 104m was the furthest of anyone in the field.
Takanashi leads the way in the overall standings with 880 points, with Iraschko-Stolz trailing in second place on 599 points.
Slovenia’s Maja Vtic, sixth in Oberstdorf, is third overall.
