Shaun Murphy said that he feels superhuman after his quarter-final exploits against Matthew Stevens and believes he has the form to go all the way in this year's World Championships.
Murphy began the final session of the match 11-5 down and then went to 12-7, with Stevens needing only one frame for a place in the last four at the Crucible.
However, Murphy promptly won six straight frames for the right to face Mark Selby in Thursday's semi-final.
"I think Matthew threw everything at me that he could - apart from a lump of Kryptonite," the Rotherham cueman joked.
"I must admit that I feel a bit like Superman at the moment, although he does have a slightly better physique than me."
Murphy added that the experience was intense.
"It is the hardest that I have ever played, a sustained period of grafting," he admitted. "I've never played continuously under so much pressure before.
"I've saved my best form until the last session of the quarter-finals."
