Nuis leads on a total of 630 points after beating Vincent De Haitre and Nico Ihle to top spot with a time of 1:08.78, with the Canadian and German 0.52 and 0.66 seconds behind respectively.
Kai Verbij, who lies second in the overall standings, could only finish 11th in Norway to add only 24 points to his total.
In the ladies' equivalent, overall leader Heather Bergsma just edged victory over Nao Kodaira, crossing the line just 0.05 seconds ahead to stop the clock in 1:14.85.
The final spot on the 1000m podium was occupied by Czech skater Karolina Erbanova, who finished 0.37 seconds behind to win the bronze medal.
Kodaira also found herself among the medals in the ladies 500m, taking top honours ahead of Erbanova and Bergsma in second and third.
In the men's 500m, it was a Dutch top four as Dai Dai Ntab headlined a whitewash of the medals, taking home gold with Ronald Mulder and Verbij behind him.
Compatriot Jan Smeekens just missed out on a podium finish, despite clocking the same time as Verbij.
There were further medals for skaters from the Netherlands in the ladies' 3000m, with Antoinette de Jong and Melissa Wijfje winning silver and bronze behind champion Martina Sablikova of the Czech Republic.
It was a dominant victory, however, for Sablikova, as she crossed the finish line in a time of 4:04.21, more than a second quicker than any of her opponents.
Erik Jan Kooiman was the victor in the final race of the day, the men's 5000m, cruising home in a time of 6:19.07 ahead of international teammate Patrick Roest.
Bart Swings of Belgium followed them to the finish to pick up the bronze medal, finishing 2.74 seconds behind the winner.
In the ladies' team pursuit, it was Japan who emerged victorious ahead of teams from the Netherlands and Russia, while the Netherlands took the men's title, with Norway and Japan following them across the line.
