The 20-year-old has had a whirlwind year with three World Championships gold medals to his name along with a host of world records in the process.
With 50m and 100m gold in Kazan he became the first swimmer in history to win both events at the same World Championships.
Those achievements were recognised on Sunday when he was named Swimming Performance Athlete of the Year at the ASA Aquatics Awards.
But there is no sign of complacency from Peaty who will be favourite for gold heading into the water in Rio.
"The past two years have been incredible and I am so grateful to be working with such a talented support team," he told British Swimming.
"Everyone works unbelievably hard and I am so proud of everything we've achieved together as a team so far.
"I'm really looking forward to next year and I will continue to work hard to ensure I'm in the best shape possible to compete in front of my home crowd in London at the European Championships and then at my first Olympic Games."
