The 36-year-old No.13 seed was hoping for a maiden Aussie Open triumph and her first major in nine years but couldn't quite make enough impact to truly put her sibling under sustained pressure. Serena regains her world No.1 ranking and who would bet against her adding to her GS tally in the months ahead?
