After Jo-Wilfried Tsonga became the latest big name to withdraw from the French Open, leaving the way seemingly clear for Novak Djokovic to ease into the final in the top half after victory over Aljaz Bedene, the attention turns to the bottom half of the men's singles on Day 8.

Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray both face tough challenges, while the women's No 2 seed Agnieszka Radwanska is also in action.

MATCH OF THE DAY

Stan Wawrinka takes on Viktor Troicki - a match worth watching for the Swiss maestro's beautiful single-handed backhand alone. But add in the fact that his Serbian opponent (the No 22 seed) is in very good form - and has only dropped two sets so far, in his first match against Grigor Dimitrov, - then this could be a real test for the defending champion.

POTENTIAL UPSET OF THE DAY

Richard Gasquet not only has the home crowd on his side, he is in some seriously good form. The Frenchman eased past Australian wild child Nick Kyrgios in straights sets in round three and the No 9 seed now faces Kei Nishikori who was taken to five gruelling sets by Fernando Verdasco. If the Japanese No 5 seed is fatigued at all, it could cost him.

BRITWATCH

Andy Murray will face giant American John Isner on Court Suzanne Lenglen. If his hammering of another big server - Ivo Karlovic - in the third round is anything to go by, then a place in the quarter-finals surely awaits.
