Djokovic, who is still chasing his first title at Roland Garros, could face fourth seed Nadal in the semi-finals of the tournament in a mouth-watering clash.
The Serb, who would become the first man since 1969 to hold all four Slam titles at the same time if he were to triumph in Paris, will first take on Lu, the world number 100.
Nine-times champion Nadal has a tough path to the final four, however, opening up against big-serving Australian Sam Groth with Fabio Fognini and Dominic Thiem likely in the third and fourth rounds before he potentially takes on local favourite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarter-finals.
World number two Andy Murray could face Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals and Stanislas Wawrinka in the semi-finals after he was drawn in the other half.
Murray will first take on a Radek Stepanek in his opening round match, while fellow Brits Kyle Edmund and Aljaz Bedene will face Nikoloz Basilashvili and Gerald Melzer respectively.

Wawrinka, the defending champion, will take on Lukas Rosol, who famously stunned Nadal at Wimbledon in 2012.

OUR VIEW

Djokovic appears to have got the best draw, which is only right considering he is the top seed, but facing the nine-time champion Nadal in the semi-finals would likely be an enormous challenge even for the dominant Serb. Nadal has been handed an extremely tough route to the final, but it would be a brave man to discount the Spaniard given all he has achieved. For Murray, a potential last-four encounter with Wawrinka looks on the cards and the defending champion would be confident of reaching another final.
