Feliciano Lopez beat Rafael Nadal 6-3 7-6(6) to dump the world number two out of the Shanghai Masters.

Lopez took the first stanza after converting one of his two break opportunities but Nadal rallied early in the next to open up a three-game lead.
However, Lopez broke back to get the set back on serve before taking the match on a tie-breaker.
Lopez will face John Isner in the next round.
