Top seed Peng Shuai remains on course for the title at the Biyuan Cup Zhengzhou Women's Tennis Open after reaching the semi-finals with a comfortable victory over Zarina Diyas.

The world number 40 progressed 6-3 6-3 against her opponent from Kazakhstan to set up a last-four meeting with compatriot Zheng Saisai.

Zheng also came through her quarter-final in straight sets, beating Japan's Nao Hibino 6-3 6-4.

The other semi-final is an all-Chinese affair with Duan Yingying set to face Wang Qiang.

Duan beat South Korean Jang Su-jeong 6-4 7-5, while Wang overcame Liu Fangzhou 6-2 6-3.
