Wimbledon is a British institution and has become an integral part of any great British summer.
Year on year its popularity grows and year on year the lengths to which fans will go to get their hands on tickets become more and more extreme.
And by extreme, we mean pitching up on Saturday 27th to queue when play does not commence until Monday 29th.
That is right, fans have already started queuing for Wimbledon, as evidenced by the below tweet.
Granted it is only a dozen or so but that is some serious commitment to the cause.
There is even a Twitter account @ViewFromTheQ to document the goings on.
To be fair, this year’s Wimbledon is shaping up to be one of the best in years, so the exuberance is understandable – especially as home hope Andy Murray is looking in fine fettle, and the imperious Serena Williams looking to claim a sixth crown.
For those in the queue here is some of what you can expect when you finally get in, in, erm, two days time.
