Heavy snow and strong winds has resulted in the men's downhill at Beaver Creek being cancelled for a second consecutive day. There were hopes that the race could take place after Friday's cancelled session, but FIS Alpine were forced to call it off. A super-G race is planned for Sunday, but with more heavy snow and strong winds forecast, there are fears this could also be cancelled.

Strong winds and heavy snowfall have caused the men's downhill at Beaver Creek to be cancelled for a second consecutive day.
The adverse weather is wreaking havoc on the start of the alpine skiing season, with Friday’s race also cancelled due to the treacherous conditions in Val, Colorado.
Only one men's race out of a possible six has been able to go ahead as scheduled to date, in what looks set to be an increasingly congested calendar.
In a statement on X, FIS Alpine wrote: “Unfortunately, due to wind and heavy snowfall, today's Men's Downhill at Beaver Creek has been cancelled.”
It is also the fourth time this season that a men's alpine race has been called off, following two postponements in Switzerland last month.
A super-G race is scheduled to take place on Sunday, but there are fears this could also be cancelled due to more snow and strong winds being forecast.
The women's alpine season continues in Tremblant, Canada this weekend.
Mikaela Shiffrin will be looking to add to her record of 90 World Cup wins.
