The final downhill training run at Lake Louise was called off due to heavy snow, the FIS has announced.
A snowstorm had been expected early on Friday morning but it ran a few hours late, allowing the first two training sessions to take place.
But the adverse weather finally arrived, scuppering the last session.
Austria’s Max Franz had dominated the first run, with Aksel Lund Svindal second fastest.
The first run of the World Cup season will take place on Saturday afternoon (6.30pm UK time), with a super-G scheduled for Sunday.
