”I am positively surprised what the snow-making facilities and the organising committee have been able to achieve during the last few days. The competition slope is in great shape. This is why I can already now give the go ahead for the event, two days before the planned snow control day, " said race director Hans Pieren.
He added: ”The 10-day weather forecast is also looking promising at the moment so we look forward to a great weekend of racing here at Levi.” concluded Pieren.
The early season races in Finland were cancelled last year due to a lack of slow with Jean-Baptiste Grange and Marlies Schild winning in 2010.
