The final downhill of the season went the way of Vincent Kriechmayr, who roared to victory in the men's race at the Alpine Ski World Cup finale in Soldeu. The Austrian was quickest down the slopes, finishing ahead of German pair Romed Baumann, who initially set the pace, and Andreas Sander. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway was sixth but had already secured the overall title.
