The 2017 world champion clocked a time of 1:22.81, 0.14s ahead of home favourite Nicol Delago, with Austrian Ramona Siebenhofer down in third.
The result sees Stuhec climb up six places in the downhill standings, with 100 points earned for her victory.
She now sits second behind Austria's Nicole Schmidhofer, whose tenth-place finish was enough to maintain her healthy lead at the summit after she had won the opening two events in Lake Louise.
Switzerland's Michelle Gisin is bumped down to third, while Delago rises five places to fourth.
Mikaela Shiffrin stays top of the overall rankings despite not competing in Italy, with Schmidhofer climbing up to third.
