Alexis Pinturault was airlifted to hospital following a fall at the Silberhornsprung jump, with the Frenchman suffering a serious knee injury. Cyprien Sarrazin was victorious in Switzerland, but the injury to his compatriot Pinturault soured an otherwise memorable day for the 29-year-old. Marco Odermatt finished 0.58 seconds further adrift in second, with Aleksander Aamodt Kilde in third.

Cyprien Sarrazin dedicated his super-G victory to compatriot Alexis Pinturault following the three-time Olympic medallist's heavy crash in Wengen.
Sarrazin suffered a damaging fall himself at the venue last year but banished those memories with a masterclass which saw him finish comfortably clear of Thursday's downhill winner Marco Odermatt, who was 0.58s back in second.
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde finished third but the day was tarnished by Pinturault's accident, the new father airlifted to hospital following a fall at the Silberhornsprung jump, with the French Federation reporting that he had suffered a rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament.
"I think about Alexis, I hope he is okay. I enjoy the victory for him," Sarrazin said.
On his performance, which led to a second World Cup victory of the season, the 29-year-old added: "I really enjoyed my run. I feel great, I am really proud.
"I pushed really hard straight on the first [gate], straight on the second, straight on the third. You take no risk if you push at the start [but] then I was not pushing 105%.
"At the bottom, I was 90, 95%, telling myself 'stay smart, stay on your feet, you did a great run'."
Odermatt admitted the better skier won on the day and will now turn his attentions to backing up his maiden career World Cup downhill victory with another on Saturday.
Kilde, who edged out Dominik Paris for the final spot on the podium, said: "I am probably not in a good shape, but it is what it is. If tomorrow can be better than today, then it's going to be okay."
Meanwhile, the French Ski Federation released a statement in regards to Pinturault later on Friday, confirming the nature of his injury and that his "season is over".
