Alpine World Ski Championships highlights: Laurence St-Germain takes slalom gold, Canada’s Laurence Shiffrin wins silver

Canada’s Laurence St-Germain produced “the ski of her life” to stun the field to win slalom gold at the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships. Mikaela Shiffrin of the USA took silver, with Germany’s Lena Duerr taking bronze. Switzerland’s Wendy Holdener, second after the first run, had looked placed to medal but crashed out in her second run.
