"I feel fine," she said, looking forward to her fourth Olympics. "I have no problems at all."
Pfohl was a few weeks pregnant at the 2000 Games in Sydney, where she was expecting daughter Mara, now three years old.
A Berlin-based soldier, Pfohl was picked for Athens in July when Germany were awarded an extra spot because a competitor from another country had withdrawn.
The German Olympic Committee, aware she was pregnant, included her in the team, giving her a chance to chase a third Olympic medal after team silver in 1996 and team bronze in 2000.
