Laura Muir is confident that her early-season form can carry her to defend her European Indoor Athletics Championship titles in Glasgow.
The reigning indoor and outdoor 1500m European champion guided Great Britain to victory in the Great Stirling Cross Country mixed relay at the weekend and is keen to translate her success onto the track at her home event.
And the 25-year-old two-time European Indoor Championship gold medallist spelled out the importance of putting on a show at the Emirates Arena.
"The European indoors is huge. The crowd's reaction there was fantastic. You can imagine then what it's going to be like," said the Inverness-born middle-distance specialist.
"The European Championships will be my first opportunity to defend my title, so it's a big championship for me and I want to do the best that I can there.
"I know I am in good form now. It's a matter of maintaining it and improving it for Glasgow."
Muir has already announced her involvement at the GB Indoor Championships next month alongside the likes of Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Asha Philip.
