Denia Caballero, Nicholas Bett claim shock golds

Round-up: Cuba's Denia Caballero was a shock winner in the women's discus courtesy of her opening throw of 69.28m.
Caballero’s first throw of the final was enough to secure Caballero and Cuba’s its first gold medal in the women’s discus.
"The first throw was very important for me. I wanted to put Perkovic under pressure," Cabellero told reporters.
Defending champion Sandra Perkovic of Croatia struggled throughout and her final throw effort go 67.39m was enough only for second place.
Germany’s Nadine Muller finished in third with a throw of 65.53m.
Nicholas Bett won a surprise gold in the 400 metres hurdles.
Bett gave Kenya its first gold medal in the 400m hurdles with a scorching finish to clock 47.79 seconds, the fastest time of the year and his own personal best.
"In the semi-final I made a mistake with the steps between hurdles, so in this final I was able to correct it," the 23-year-old Bett told reporters.
"It is wonderful to be the world champion. I achieved a PB and NR this year so I say thanks to God."
Running in lane nine where it is impossible to see your rivals for most of the race, the 23-year-old went past more than half the field after the final bend to pip Russia's Denis Kudryavtsev on the line.
Bett shaved 0.44 off Erick Keter’s Kenyan record en route to the gold.
