Jordan Clarkson became the first player to hit a triple-double for Utah Jazz in a regular-season game since February 2008. Clarkson left it late but ended the game with 20 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a 127-90 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Elsewhere, the LA Clippers eased to a 121-104 victory against Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks were beaten by the Indiana Pacers.

Jordan Clarkson ended a long triple-double drought for Utah Jazz, helping his side to a comfortable 127-90 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Not since 2008 had a Jazz player recorded a triple-double in a regular-season game until Clarkson put on a big performance at the Delta Center.
The 31-year-old finished the game with 20 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in the blowout victory.
Eager to see the unwanted streak ended, head coach Will Hardy opted to leave Clarkson in for the majority of the fourth quarter.
Not since Carlos Boozer notched 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against the Seattle Supersonics on February 13, 2008 had a Utah player achieved the feat.
To put the drought into context, the Seattle Supersonics don’t exist anymore.

It almost didn’t happen as the guard got stuck on nine rebounds, much to the annoyance of Hardy, who was desperate to pull him out the game.
But Hardy’s faith was rewarded as Clarkson got what he was searching for to reset the clock on what was one of the longest-running NBA droughts.
Victory was the fifth in the last six for Jazz, who sit 12th in the Western Conference and take on the Detroit Pistons next.
Mavericks are seventh in the WC and face Portland Trail Blazers next time out.
Elsewhere, the LA Clippers continued their superb run of form with a 121-104 win over the Miami Heat. Kawhi Leonard top scored with 24 points, while Paul George added 23 and 22 points respectively. Clippers are fourth in the WC with a 20-12 record and Heat (19-14) sit fifth in the Eastern Conference.
The Milwaukee Bucks were beaten by the Indiana Pacers in the EC. Giannis Antetokounmpo hit a triple-double (30-11-18) for the Bucks but it wasn’t enough to halt the Pacers, who recorded their fourth win on the spin.
Also in the EC, the Toronto Raptors hung on to seal a 124-121 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Pascal Siakam scored 36 points as the Raptors improved to 13-20 and consigned the Cavaliers to a second successive defeat.
The Houston Rockets inflicted more misery on the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons snapped a 28-game losing streak last time out against the Raptors but were well beaten by the Rockets at the Toyota Center.
The game was finely poised at the halfway point but the Rockets won the third quarter 47-25 to assert their dominance before going on to complete a 136-113 victory.
The Denver Nuggets beat the Charlotte Hornets 111-93 and the Phoenix Suns inflicted a 23rd defeat on the Trail Blazers.
