Jayson Tatum continued his excellent season after scoring 41 points in a hard-fought 118-110 win over the Brooklyn Nets. That was despite the best efforts of both Mikal Bridges and Cam Thomas, who claimed 27 and 26 points each in a narrow defeat for the New York City outift. Kevin Durant had an excellent night after scoring 28 points for the Phoenix Suns in a win over the Sacramento Kings.

Jayson Tatum was the star of the show once again for the Boston Celtics, scoring 41 points in a 118-110 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
It was another memorable night for Tatum, who completed his 25th 40-point game in the regular season.
Despite Tatum’s superb individual exploits, the 25-year-old highlighted the importance of spreading points around the team.
“We’ve got a really good team where in any given possession we could have two, three advantages and it’s not always just going to be me,” Tatum said.
“So just understanding that and knowing that I need my team-mates. I need everybody, we all need each other.”
Jaylen Brown claimed a further 19 points for the Celtics, while Al Horford and Derrick White each added 17.
Meanwhile, it was ultimately a disappointing night for the Nets, who rallied impressively in the fourth quarter to eat away into a 23-point lead for the Celtics.
Mikal Bridges led the way for the Nets with 27, while Cam Thomas added another 26, but it was not enough to prevent them succumbing to a fourth defeat in five games.
Elsewhere, Kevin Durant's 28 points helped the Phoenix Suns overcome the Sacramento Kings with a 130-125 victory.
Devin Booker and Eric Gordon both added 25 and 23 points each in a gripping contest which saw the lead change hands 17 times.
Despite the incredible exploits of De'Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and Malik Monk, who scored 40, 35 and 22 points respectively, it was the Suns who came out on top.
“I just liked everybody's minutes,” Durant said.
“Everybody understood the assignment, kept the game simple on both ends, and we just played.”
Meanwhile, Phoenix coach Frank Vogel heaped praised on Booker, whose points ensured he surpassed Alvan Adams as the second-leading scorer in franchise history.
“He’s got a unique knack for feeling the game out,” Vogel said. “Big part of the W."
Elsewhere, a depleted Miami Heat team minus Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier and Josh Richardson cruised past the Milwaukee Bucks with a 123-97 victory.
Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took the plaudits in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 127-113 win over the Orlando Magic, while Anthony Edwards' 41 points helped the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Portland Trail Blazers 121-109.
Finally, LeBron James played an integral role for the Los Angeles Lakers, with his 25 points helping the Californians to a 125-111 win over the Detroit Pistons.
