Walter Herrmann has provided a scoring boost off the bench for Argentina, who will need him when they face Spain in the world championship semi-finals on Friday.

Herrmann went for 23 and 25 points in consecutive group games against Lebanon and Venezuela - both wins - as he showed off the scoring ability and sharp shooting that is expected to earn him a contract with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA for the upcoming season.
And even though he has cooled off a bit in recent games, Herrmann is still a big threat which Spain - Argentina's semi-final opponents after Gasol and company beat Lithuania 89-67 - must try and contain if they are to have any chance of holding off the Olympic champions.
FIBA correspondent Simon Wilkinson caught up with Herrmann after their quarter-finals win over Turkey.
FIBA: What are your thoughts on the semi-final against Spain?
Herrmann: It will be an interesting game because the two teams are very similar and it will make for a great semi-final.
FIBA: What are the biggest similarities you see between Spain and Argentina?
Herrmann: Both teams have great players, some who play in the NBA, some who play in the best leagues in Europe. But more important than the individuals, is the great team spirit that we have and they have that too.
FIBA: Argentina made little work of Turkey, which was a team that had played very well so far.

Herrmann: Turkey is a very good team. They played hard but we did very well on defence to make them work for every shot and they had a tough time.
FIBA: It looked like an easier game than against New Zealand. Did you come out a bit flat in that game and learn from it for this one?
Herrmann: We always try to play great defence and play smart on offence. Today we were just able to do better on offence than we did against New Zealand. But our defence is always there. That's the key.
FIBA: Do you have any preferences as far as the remaining two quarter-finals looking ahead to the finals?
Herrmann: No not really. We're just looking at our game against Spain and we can't worry too much about what happens in the other games.
FIBA: There's been talk of you going to the NBA with the Charlotte Bobcats. Do you feel this is the best time for you to leave Europe?
Herrmann: Definitely. Going to the NBA is a life-long dream for me. I need to be confident and strong once I'm there but this is the right time for me to go.
