Michael Greis recorded his third consecutive World Cup victory in the men's sprint in Antholz.
The triple Olympic champion, who won back-to back events on home snow in Ruhpolding last week, shot clear and covered the 10km course in in 25 minutes 5.4 seconds.
That was 3.4 seconds better than Russia's Nikolay Kruglov with Norway's Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, the overall World Cup leader, three seconds further back in third after they also hit all ten targets at the range.
31-year-old Greis is now third in the overall World Cup standings following his eighth career victory.
Bjoerndalen has a 89-point-advantage over Dmitri Yaroshenko despite unusually not winning after a perfect shooting performance.
