Finland's Kaisa Makarainen romped to victory in the women's mass start Biathlon World Cup event in Pokljuka, Slovenia, to extend her lead at the top of the overall standings.
Makarainen completed the 12.5km course in a time of 34:18.8 minutes, finishing 7.6 seconds ahead of France's Anais Bescond and 15.8 seconds ahead of Belarusian Nadezhda Skardino.
The 31-year-old, who had won her last three World Cup disciplines coming into Pokljuka, had finished fifth in the 7.5km sprint and second in the 10km pursuit in the first two competition days in Slovenia.
And another first place on Sunday was the perfect early Christmas gift as she looks ahead to the next World Cup event in Oberhof at the start of January.
Makarainen sits top of the standings on 422 points, with Valj Semerenko of the Ukraine in second overall on 328 and Darya Domracheva of Belarus in third on 303.
