Francesco Friedrich insists he can still improve after leading his team to a sixth successive 4-man World Cup title.
The 33-year-old steered Thorsten Margis, Matthias Sommer and Felix Straub to gold in the last race of the season in Lake Placid.
Damage to the track during the second run meant that first-run standings stood as the final result; meaning Team Friedrich led a German podium sweep, beating Team Johannes Lochner by 0.17 seconds with bronze going to Team Adam Ammour.
It was Friedrich's fifth win from eight races this season and continued a golden run stretching all the way back to 2018.
"Every year we take little steps to improve," said Friedrich. "We try to give our best every year and try to be a little bit better, maybe in the runners, maybe in the pushing, maybe in the driving.
"There are so many things you can make better, it's a lot of work."
Elsewhere, Laura Nolte defended her title in the 2-woman.
The Olympic champion finished third alongside Claudia Schussler, which was enough to wrap up the overall crown.
Gold on the day went to 2023 world champion Kim Kalicki and Leonie Fiebig, while GB's Adele Nicoll and Kya Placide took silver to win their nation's women's bobsleigh World Cup medal in 15 years.
