Jack Catterall won his rematch with Josh Taylor on Saturday night in Leeds with a unanimous decision. The beaten man claimed he had done enough to edge a victory, but his promoter Bob Arum went much further. He called the scorecards an "absolute disgrace," before threatening to keep his stable of American fighters away from the United Kingdom in future.

Jack Catterall is aiming for a world-title shot after winning his rematch against Josh Taylor on Saturday, with promoter Bob Arum calling the scorecards “a disgrace.”
The pair first fought in 2022, and the Englishman felt he had been unjustly denied victory back then, with many believing Taylor’s points victory should have gone the other way.
However, the Scotsman - back then the undisputed super lightweight champion - always believed he had done enough to take the victory.
This time the judges favoured Catterall in Leeds, with a 116-113, 117-111, 117-111 score sparking debate.
After waiting more than two years for his rematch, and with no title on the line this time around, Catterall seemed keen to move on.
"There's been a lot of back and forth over the last two years, personal messages etc. But I believe we squashed that tonight," he said.
He added: "A world title has always been the dream.
"We didn't get the undisputed and that’s fine. That chapter has been written. I'm in a great position."
Taylor was again of the opinion that he had done enough to get the win. After years of tension between the two, Taylor was full of praise his opponent.

Taylor: I thought I just nicked it

He told DAZN: "I thought it was a great fight, fair play to Jack, he boxed a better fight tonight but I thought I just nicked it.
"Given the controversy in the first fight that's probably what played into the judges' minds. But let's do a third one.
"If he wants to go on and challenge for bigger fights he deserves it, but I think that's one apiece. Let's do a trilogy."
Taylor’s promoter Arum spoke during his fighter’s interview to make his displeasure known.
"I will never ever allow an American fighter to come here," he claimed, calling the scoring "an absolute disgrace".
