Khan made to wait over Pacquaio bout, rumours swirl of Mayweather rematch

Amir Khan is still in the dark over whether he'll get his fight with Manny Pacquiao, as rumours of a rematch between the Pacman and Floyd Mayweather rumble on.
Khan sent his written acceptance of Pacquiao's terms to promoter Bob Arum on October 31 and has been expecting a contract in return.
But Pacquiao continues to stall as he seeks a rematch with Mayweather, and the Filipino fighter has promised a decision on his next opponent 'by late December'.
"I would love a re-match if he wants it," Pacquiao told CNN. "Of course we hear from him very often that he has retired but that's not new from him."
It is thought Mayweather, who is seeking a 50th consecutive win to surpass Rocky Marciano, is open to a re-match in May 2016 to coincide with the opening of the new MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao, already a Filipino congressman, is standing for election to his country's senate in May and would like his 'retirement fight' no later than April 9.
For Khan, however, there is little for him to do other than wait for Pacquiao to make a decision on his next opponent.
